HMPPS Visitor Verification Experience
There are more than 120 prison establishments in England and Wales collectively hosting many thousands of visitors every day. The methods and processes for visitor validation and verification can be time consuming and complicated.
During Security and Policing 2019, JSaRC will be hosting an Immersive Experience which will demonstrate and highlight a range of visitor verification solutions that are currently being trialled in a number of prisons. Visitors to the HMPPS Visitor Verification Immersive Experience will be able to participate in a guided tour of these solutions which aim to demonstrate how:
- the process of visiting a prison is secure, efficient, accurate and effortless
- visitor data can be shared securely
- visitors across the whole of the prison service can be verified
- the use of technology including facial recognition and other biometric systems support prison security
Solutions from Facewatch, ID Scan and Tascent will be demonstrated.
