Virtual Reality Simulation Systems

Stand F54

Virtual Reality Simulation Systems Ltd (VRSS) is UK-based and develops engaging, educational and exciting applications. Using extended reality (XR) we merge digital, physical and human elements to enhance training and industrial processes. Our products function across all major platforms from simulation pods, motion simulators, virtual reality (VR) headsets, augmented reality (AR) glasses and smartphones. We deliver cost-effective training to police and security. Our simulations use fixed and random scenarios to deliver specific learning objectives. Simulation has been demonstrated to develop situational awareness and decision making with increased knowledge retention, enabling behavioural change. Our new product, Computer Operated Police Simulator (C.O.P.S), is being used to augment technical and non-technical skills. Our simulations combine the use of Caves and Virtual Reality headsets to ensure that users become fully immersed whilst undertaking specific activities. Scenarios include Domestic Abuse, Stop and Search, Golden Hour crime scene investigation, Taser and Custody.

New Product Launch

Computer Operated Police Simulator (C.O.P.S)

VR Simulation Systems Ltd (VRSS) is a UK based company who develop engaging, educational and exciting applications and training solutions. Their new product, Computer Operated Police Simulator (C.O.P.S), is being used to augment technical and non-technical skills by merging digital, physical and human elements to enhance training processes.

The simulations combine the use of immersive Cave setups, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in order to provide cost effective training for officers. The simulations allow officers to develop their situational awareness within immersive environments, test their decision making skills in evolving scenarios which have preset or variable settings and events. Officers also develop increased knowledge retention of the correct processes and this results in behavioural change as well as providing discussion points for review as a group or with a trainer.

VRSS have worked closely with the Gwent Police force to develop and deliver a range of scenarios to be used for training and developing the skills of their officers. The current scenarios on offer include Domestic Abuse, Stop and Search, Golden Hour Crime Scene Investigation, Taser, and Custody. Work is currently underway to develop further scenarios as well as solutions that are public facing, using tablets and smartphone applications in order to raise the awareness and knowledge of crime in the area and how to prevent it.
