Regton, being based in Birmingham, is ideally situated for service anywhere in the United Kingdom, offering a fast response time to any security emergency. We can deliver all spare parts no the next working day delivery service to mainland UK.
We specialise in Garrett Metal Detectors. Garrett is the global leader of walkthrough archways, metal detectors, handheld body scanners and ground search metal detecting products, and security and law enforcement applications training. Regton has supplied these walkthrough metal detectors known as 'airport scanners' to a wide variety of organisations throughout the UK, including schools, magistrates' courts and crown courts, police stations, shipping companies and a whole range of warehouses retail outlets for loss prevention purposes, night clubs, stadiums, exhibition centres and arenas.
Our most high-profile recipient was the British Transport Police to help with "Operation Shield", their anti-knife initiative at several British railway stations. This operation has proved how versatile the Garrett walkthrough metal detectors are. In February 2006 over 20,000 people being scanned at mulitple railway stations, with over 160 weapons being recovered, and 150 arrests being made targeting late-night crime and anti-social behaviour at railway stations.
