Plextek is an independent electronics design consultancy. Our work covers research through to designing and manufacturing systems and subsystems which are required to meet demanding specifications across a range of markets. With a broad range of UK government, Defence Prime and Tier 1 clients, Plextek has extensive experience in developing systems and subsystems against UK MoD requirements.  Our skillset covers electronics, signal generation, signal conditioning, antenna design, digital signal processing and engineering software algorithms necessary to support the design, development and supply of bespoke sensing and communication systems. We specialise in the design of electronic sensor and communication systems where low size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) is required.

As an independent technical consultancy, we are not constrained by any products and have the skillset and experience to provide independent advice to our clients.

We have a well-balanced and experienced team with skills covering RF, digital, signal-processing, mechanical and protocol design. We have a group specialising in antenna design and RF propagation with test equipment that covers the communications and radar bands from LF to mm-wave. We use reference antennas to measure both intentional and spurious emissions with onsite facilities that include an anechoic chamber and large trial areas that we use for open-air emissions measurements.

We have around 90 staff overall including 80 professional engineers and scientists.
