Participate in a live industry challenge at S&P 2023 – Apply now

Entries are now open for participating exhibitors at Security & Policing 2023 to take part in a live industry challenge and pitch their solutions to panels of experts as part of the Fusion Forum at the event.

The industry challenge set by the National Police Chiefs’ Council National Digital & Cyber Group is to help respond to the Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders.

The Challenge

Police are finding increased numbers of the highest risk violent and sexual offenders are active online and this means monitoring their online usage and behaviour. Police are allowed to do this through various orders/tactics and it is a key factor in managing risk and protecting the public.

What can industry do to assist police and what products/services can you offer to help mitigate this risk?”

In this challenge, led by Lee Bishop of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on behalf of the National Digital & Cyber Group, participants are encouraged to:

  • Consider the financial constraints that public services are under when purchasing industry products.
  • The ease of use for Officers who have limited time to use such products.
  • The need to appropriately evidence not only illegal activity but also compliance.
  • Balance the needs of maintaining Data Protection and protecting the public
  • Don’t just look at technology, consider the skills and capabilities that the Police officers/staff would need.

How to enter

To enter a submission to participate in this challenge, please send your written response via email (max 500 words) to Alistair Leuchars, Head of Cyber and Domestic Engagement – Security and Resilience, ADS, by Friday 24 February 2023.

All entries should mark clearly a point of contact for the submission and include a full list of organisations if a team submission.

Submissions will be reviewed by the challenge sponsors, and, prior to the event, the authors of selected responses will be invited to participate in S&P 2023 to ‘pitch’ their ideas in five minutes to a panel of relevant end-users and experts from Government, industry and academia in the Fusion Forum feature at the event. Please note participants must be booked to exhibit at Security & Policing 2023 to take part.
