Vikela is transforming the traditional 2D manufacturing and design of composites by introducing a new era of 3D innovation. Using our patent-pending 3D printing technology, we create advanced composites with a human-centred design philosophy.

Our first application, the APIS range, is a cutting-edge stab-proof vest designed to address the limitations of conventional body armour—namely, excessive weight and discomfort. Our innovative manufacturing process enables us to produce armour that is stronger, lighter, and more flexible than existing market options. We offer our standard range as well as interchangeable plates compatible with current protective gear.

A key focus of our technology is improving armour for female personnel. Our process allows us to create flexible, form-fitting protection that contours to the body, offering enhanced comfort and superior safety.

Sustainability is also at the heart of our mission. Vikela’s products are fully recyclable in-house and produce over 97% fewer carbon emissions compared to traditional body armour manufacturing.

Our APIS range is now available for purchase, and we are actively developing our ballistic armour line, set to launch later this year.
