Wingman specialises in developing semi-autonomous drones with Edge AI capabilities for the Defence and Security Sector. The Wingman T2 drone has been developed for a wide range of use cases in the urban environment. Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) is used to enable advanced object detection and avoidance along with seamless operation inside buildings where GPS is denied or unavailable. The drone is controlled through a proprietary Wingman Client User Interface tool loaded onto a Steamdeck console adapted for the purpose. Combined these features reduce the burden on the operator and provide exemplary situational awareness.
