Visit the Innovation Zone to network with government, industry, academia and international partners and discuss how we can use the latest science, innovation and technology to solve our collective security and policing challenges.

Following the success of the first ever Innovation Zone in 2023, the Security and Policing hub for science, innovation and technology is back with double the number of organisations to engage with and an exciting programme of speakers and activities. With briefings, panels, roundtables, networking sessions and more, you will hear the key government messages on science ambition and our current and future challenges, to kick-start two-way conversations on how we can understand and address threats and seize opportunities. Public and private sector collaboration is critical to this to align areas of shared interest and drive innovation where it is needed most.

The Innovation Zone stage programme will signal science, innovation and technology priorities for UK and international partners, and the supplier base in industry and academia. With a vast range of topics from threat detection to the opportunities of digitally connected vehicles, a new networking area will offer you the chance to continue conversations with speakers after presentations and panels on your topics of interest.

The Innovation Zone will also give you the opportunity to engage directly with officials from Home Office, Department for Transport, Border Force, National Crime Agency and our innovation functions including Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) and Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA). This will help you to find out about how different organisations can provide gateway access to funding and/or collaboration opportunities, as well as experiencing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technologies. For the first time, the zone also welcomes representatives from academia and international partners, so everyone you may need to talk to from the security and policing innovation community is in one place.
