Excession Technologies is a division of General System, a UK company enabling humans and machines to understand and keep pace with the world around them – in real time.

The volume, velocity and variety of data is increasing exponentially. Limited by some of the toughest challenges in computing, existing systems are unable to cope, with up to 98% of all machine data discarded annually. In response, Excession has assembled a team of engineers, analysts and data scientists who have built a suite of data-agnostic software and infrastructure tools able to rapidly ingest, index and query hyper-scale data, sustainably and affordably.

Excession has worked with Five Eyes partners to develop an open architecture with interoperability and automation at its core. This ensures decision-making at pace and scale, even in complex, federated operations, providing trusted connections across organisational and international boundaries within an ethical data framework, and robust privacy and usage controls. The Data Flow Index (DFI) is at the heart of our system – recently described by Microsoft engineers as ‘game-changing’. The DFI powers our Insight and Advantage solutions.
