The Home Office and NPCC International Police Assistance Service (IPAS) is a joint team providing oversight, coordination and strategic alignment of non-operational police support and assistance to international partners. We work with police forces across England and Wales as well as commercial experts to deliver training, expertise and skills to global partners. We offer a central coordination and delivery function that provides bespoke policing capability to partner countries, bringing transformation and lasting impact. We tailor our advice and services depending on the requirement, culture and context of each country. Our programmes are informed by our strategic, harm and risk based methodology that ensures a consistent delivery mechanism for training and development which aids sustainable capacity development. International policing assistance is delivered by serving UK officers often working alongside commercial providers. All programmes are prioritised according to the HMG international priorities and supported by the NPCC International coordination lead.
