The Home Office’s Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC) works to engage government, academia and the security industry to enhance collaboration and foster a working-level integration. This results in the delivery of technological responses to the UK’s security challenges and ultimately, the creation of a safer environment for our citizens at home and overseas.
JSaRC is responsible for engagement with industry and academia in relation to homeland security, ensuring sustainability and growth across the security sector and more specifically on the pillars of the Mobilise for Security Strategy.
Following the introduction of the Defence and Security Industrial Strategy in 2021, JSaRC secured agreement across Government to the Mobilise for Security Strategy (MSS). JSaRC’s ambitious and varied work programme underpins the four pillars of the MSS: Procurement, Innovation, Exports and Skills.
The JSaRC team is part of the Home Office’s Homeland Security Group. The team comprises of a unique mix of Civil Servants with experience and understanding of the various aspects of security, counter terrorism and law enforcement policies; as well as experts seconded to JSaRC from across industry and academia who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is invaluable to JSaRC’s work.
