The Thermoteknix Augmented Reality Tactical Interface Module (ARTIM) is the latest development to be released by the company to support future soldier and modernisation programmes. ARTIM enhances situational awareness and target detection campabilties during outdoor on-the-move operations. ARTIM mounts to the back of the helmet to track where the user is located and where they are looking, receiving/publishing networked location data, and rendering an augmented reality overlay. Data is displayed by the Thermoteknix ClipIR XD – a thermal imaging clip-on device mounting on an NVG, providing not only AR data, but also thermal imaging fusion. The system provides heads-up navigation, Blue Force tracking, GPS and digital terrain elevation data (DTED), delivering accurate visualisation of geo-spatial information.
