DCCU sits within the Home Office’s Homeland Security Group (HSG). We manage the Digital Communications Capabilities Partnership’s investment portfolio, collaborating with Threat and Risk Assessment Capability Exploration and Research (TRACER), National Communications Data Service (NCDS) & National Technical Assistance Centre (NTAC), as well as wider industry, UK Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) and partners to establish strategic direction and realise a suite of operationally effective, complimentary and affordable services.
DCCU is an integral part of the Digital Communications Capabilities Partnership (DCCP) in order to sustain operational access to communications capabilities:
- Communications Data (CD)
- Targeted Equipment Interference (TEI)
- Targeted Intercept (TI)
- UK-US Data Access Arrangement (UK-US DAA)
DCCU also runs the International Communications Data & Digital Forensics (ICDDF) Event. In addition to the annual strategic event that takes place in London a number of satellite events are also delivered at varying locations across the United Kingdom. The event is attended by all UK Law Enforcement Agencies and partners. ICDDF24 will be taking place in April 2024.
