Home Office Science Advisory Groups

Summary of service:

The Home Office uses external experts to provide scientific advice in a variety of areas. This scientific advice can be provided by science advisory groups, made up of world leading experts in academia and industry that are independent and security cleared. 

There are five science advisory groups within the Home Office:

v Home Office Science Advisory Council

v Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs

v Biometrics and Forensics Ethics Group

v Animals in Science Committee

v Age Estimation Science Advisory Committee
